Commenting Back on the Commenter

Thank you for Commenting Alex.
I feel the same way. I really don't think that I should be with someone who may or may not be interested in being with me. I'm not saying that he is the most terrible person in the world, but if we were meant to be together we would be together. As for getting back together with him, I really don't want to just so I have a boyfriend. At this point, I am over him and the time we spent together is in the past, I just want to move on with my life. I feel that these on again off again relationships are too much work anyway and people get hurt too often in them. So, Alex, I have proposed to either stay single a while (or a long while) or date other people. Who knows, maybe I'll meet a really special guy in the near future :)

Hmmm... Maybe he'll even look a little like Johnny Depp???

Japan?

Okay. So in short my ex-boyfriend, let's call him John, has plans on moving to Japan!

Alright, so this seems a very impossible dream especially considering the current situation of the economy. I mean look at the stock market right now, inflation, and the rising cost of oil. It's enough to make anyone want to flee this great old US of A, but come on, Japan. He will be so poor there it will not be funny at all!

These dillusions began when he was a small child, which were cute and fun at age 10, but as a 20 something year old they are unattainable in almost any circumstance. I really didn't believe him when he told me he wanted to make the move, but now he is hellbent on moving there and has every intention on making the move.

He decided to study abroad there this summer and told me that he absoultuly loved it and misses it so much. We spent about 2 hours talking and then he broke it to me... he askd that dreaded question :" Can we just be friends?" and explained why he desired for it to go back to this state. I told him sure and asked why he had to flee the country. Of course he was upset by my smart remark, but come on Japan. There went our 4 month relationship- in college that is making progress! I mean so many people just sleep around and party, but we were exclusively boyfriend and girlfriend. I am a junior and college and this is actually the longest relationship I've ever had and I've lost it all to Japan. He plans on studying abroad there again in the Sprin of 2009, so we had to break up.

I spoke with one of his friends on facebook who goes to another college and he told me that he proabably won't make the move there. He said once he gets a silly idea in his head he just runs with it. The question is, if this guy wants to date again am I going to date him or will I decide that he is not worth it and find someone new. --- This is if the Japan thing falls through and he decides to stay in the United States.
